What is hotpoints?

Welcome to our hotpoints reward programme, an easy and convenient way to reward yourself with your everyday spend on a hotpoints credit card. Every dollar you spend with your credit card on eligible purchases1 will earn hotpoints, which you can redeem using hotpoints Pay or for a range of rewards.

What is hotpoints Pay?

Hotpoints Pay is available with all hotpoints credit cards and gives you the freedom to use your hotpoints for what you want, anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

From ice creams to power bills or products from a local business, you can use your hotpoints for purchases at millions of local, international and online retailers.

Plus, as well as being able to redeem your hotpoints on new purchases, you’ll even be able to use them to redeem on purchases you’ve already made using your hotpoints credit card.

How does hotpoints Pay work?

1. Log into hotpoints from Westpac One® online banking.

2. Select ‘hotpoints’ under your accounts.

3. Turn on hotpoints Pay for your next purchase.

4. Your points will be used next time you make a purchase with your hotpoints Mastercard.

After you use your points, a statement credit for that dollar amount will appear on your account within two business days.

If we have your mobile number on file, you'll receive a text message to confirm whether the redemption was successful. Make sure your mobile number is up-to-date to receive these notifications.

Please note, you'll need at least $3 value of hotpoints to use hotpoints Pay. When you turn on hotpoints Pay, it will only use your hotpoints for your next transaction - it will not remain turned on for subsequent transactions.

How do I use hotpoints Pay on past purchases?

1. Log into hotpoints from Westpac One® online banking.

2. Select ‘hotpoints’ under your accounts.

3. Select ‘Visit the hotpoints website for more ways to redeem hotpoints’.

4. When you land on the hotpoints website, click on the hotpoints Pay tile.

5. This will direct you to the hotpoints Pay page where you can click ‘Use hotpoints Pay for past purchases’.

6. Select your card and date range and then search your transactions for the purchase you would like to redeem your points on.

If we have your email address, we’ll send you a confirmation email. To use your hotpoints for another past purchase, simply go back to your transaction list and choose another transaction.

New to hotpoints?

If you haven’t already got a hotpoints credit card and would like to get started with hotpoints Pay, first you’ll need to apply for a hotpoints credit card that suits your needs. Once approved and you’ve started earning hotpoints, all you need to do is log into Westpac One and turn on hotpoints Pay after selecting ‘hotpoints’ under your accounts.

Things you should know.

1 hotpoints terms and conditions apply. Only qualifying purchases made with a hotpoints Mastercard can be used for hotpoints Pay. See the applicable Credit Card Conditions of Use for full details; however, qualifying purchases do not include the following purchases and transactions: fees, charges or interest, balance transfers, credit card repayment insurance, tax payments (including local council rates and ACC Levies), gambling chips or gambling transactions (including online gambling), cash withdrawals from your account, money orders, travellers cheques and foreign currencies in cash, business-related purchases made with a hotpoints Mastercard other than a Westpac BusinessPLUS Mastercard and transactions on any nominated account(s) linked to your hotpoints Mastercard. In addition, there is a minimum number of hotpoints that must be earned before you are eligible to redeem your hotpoints for any reward or for hotpoints Pay.

Rewards and reward vouchers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted at any time. 

If you only make the minimum payment each month, you will pay more interest and it will take you longer to pay off the unpaid balance.
