Westpac marketing preferences.
From time to time, we send relevant marketing messages by email, in Westpac One® digital banking and other digital channels. You can choose not to receive marketing messages by updating your Contact Preferences in the Profile section of Westpac One digital banking or by calling 0800 400 600. You can also unsubscribe from our emails using the links at the end of our emails.
We may be required to contact you even if you have opted out of marketing messages. These are service messages that are necessary and they may include information about product and services you have with us or are a requirement for us to comply with laws and regulations.
Media providers
If you’ve chosen to opt-out of marketing messages, we’ll not send you targeted marketing messages through digital channels, such as personalised ads on Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) or via The Trade Desk. However, you may still see a general Westpac ad on a third-party website / digital platform.
You can also control your ad preferences or opt out of certain types of advertising through various media and advertising tracking providers we use:
- Google Ads (including DoubleClick)
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
- The Trade Desk
- Flashtalking
- TikTok
- YouTube
Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party advertising from a wide range of advertising services, including Google, by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative's Opt-Out page.

To opt out of receiving personalised messages on our public website (westpac.co.nz) and the aggregation and analysis of anonymised data about your visits to westpac.co.nz, you'll need to install a special cookie on your browser that identifies you've opted out.
When you select ‘Opt out’, an error message may show like this: "The cookie could not be installed. This is probably because your browser's privacy settings are blocking installation."
However, the opt out request will still go through successfully, and you will have been opted out. Please ignore the error message. We are working with our vendor to get this issue fixed.
You’ll not be able to opt out in this manner if you have previously blocked advertising cookies in your website browser. Opt-out cookies are specific to your browser and device and will need to be reset on different devices and browsers. To learn more about cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.
