Westpac life insurance is powered by Fidelity Life
On 28 February 2022, Westpac Group completed the sale of its New Zealand life insurance business Westpac Life-NZ- Limited (Westpac Life) to New Zealand insurance company Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited (Fidelity Life). Westpac Life was renamed Fidelity Insurance Limited (Fidelity Insurance).
In March 2023, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand approved a business transfer to combine Fidelity Insurance with Fidelity Life. From 30 June 2023, Westpac life insurance products are underwritten by Fidelity Life. All policies continue under the same terms and conditions and the claims process remains unchanged.
