How can I notify you of my overseas travel plans?
When you’re heading outside of New Zealand to travel, notify us of your plans so we can protect your cards and transactions while you're overseas. You can do this yourself using Westpac One® digital banking.
- Login to Westpac One digital banking using the Westpac One app or an internet browser.
- If you're using the Westpac One app, go to the Cards tab, select an active card, then select 'Notify travel'.
- If you're using Westpac One online banking, go to 'Support' in the top navigation bar on the Accounts screen, then select 'Notify Westpac of my travel'.
- Enter the countries you are visiting.
- Select the date you're leaving and returning.
- Enter your contact details.
- Click 'Submit'.
Some countries block text messages from New Zealand. If you haven’t received a text message from us within 5 minutes, you’ll need to call us on +64 9 912 8000 (charges apply). We’re available weekdays from 7am to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 5pm NZT.
