How long does a bank cheque stay valid?

Westpac New Zealand Limited-issued bank cheques will be honoured for up to 5 years after the date of issue if brought into a Westpac branch, subject to the usual requirements. If you have a bank cheque from another bank, please contact the issuing bank for guidance.
