When I get my balance what does 'money available' mean?

The 'money available' amount is the amount of money that you could spend right now if you were doing an EFTPOS transaction, ATM transaction or online banking transaction.

This includes any money that you may have available in an overdraft facility, but does not include the uncleared funds portion of any bank cheques and drafts that may have been deposited to your account in the past few days.
