Westpac NZ has announced it will be opening a new branch in Hastings with a full suite of modern banking facilities.
The new branch will open at 101 Queen Street East in April.
Westpac NZ General Manager of Consumer Banking, Gina Dellabarca, says the team is looking forward to moving into the premises.
“It’s a beautiful art deco building which we’ll be fitting out with a range of banking facilities for the community.
“It’ll be a great new home for our team of Banking Specialists across consumer, business and agri banking.”
Ms Dellabarca says customers will be able to bank how they want, when they want.
“The branch will have a 24-hour lobby with Smart ATMs, which take deposits and bill payments, and a change dispensing machine.”
“We’ll also have iPads and WiFi accessibility for customers who want to use a device to do their banking.”
Ms Dellabarca says the Hastings branch members continue to work from other branches in Hawke’s Bay for the moment.
“The team is doing a great job serving their customers out of Havelock North, where we’ve extended our opening hours, and Napier, but look forward to returning to Hastings when the new branch opens.
“To continue supporting our customers the 24-hour lobby at 103 Heretaunga Street with a Smart ATM and cash exchange machine will stay open until our new branch is up and running.”
