Leading commercial lawyer Pip Greenwood has been appointed to the Board of Westpac New Zealand.
Ms Greenwood joins the Board as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 April 2019.
She will be retiring from partnership with Russell McVeagh on 31 March 2019 after a tenure of 18 years, which included more than 10 years' experience on the firm's Board and a period as Board Chair.
Ms Greenwood also holds directorship roles at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Spark.
Westpac NZ Board Chair Jan Dawson said she was delighted to have someone of Ms Greenwood’s calibre joining the Westpac NZ Board.
“Pip brings a broad range of commercial experience and expertise to the role that will benefit Westpac NZ. She is a strategic thinker with vast experience in corporate transactions.”
Ms Greenwood has been awarded 'New Zealand Dealmaker of the Year' five times at the Australasian Law Awards and was a finalist in the Women of Influence Awards, hosted by Westpac and Stuff, in 2017 and 2015.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury.
